It's True, Canada really is a Corporation not a Country and the individual Province's are also independant numbered Corporations. We do not have a Confedertion after all. Quebec has wanted to separate from so called Canada all these years but have been their own separate Country(Corporation) all a long.
Happy Corporation Day (July 1/2009)
I saw 0000814830 on the Interwebs tonight and, like most of you probably, thought to myself, "Oh, gosh, the United States owns Canada? Since 1933?! How could this have been overlooked by us?!"
See, we Canadians are ornery. We enjoy our rights. Have you seen the Human Rights Canada site? There's even a PDF on there outlawing mandatory drug testing. If we were a part of the U.S., you can bet that this ruling wouldn't exist - heck, HRC wouldn't be around, either.
So if there was any proof that the U.S. actually owned us, you can bet we'd just ignore them and chuckle to ourselves. If Canada was that stupid, and as we Canadians are proud of our heritage and nation (not necessarily our country), this little detail would be removed fairly quickly from the books.
From the couple of hours of research I conducted, I came to the conclusion that this particular registration is acknowledgement on the part of the U.S. that it owes Canada almost $83 billion USD. The U.S. has to keep this on file - no exceptions are made for any country. (See this U.S. treasury page for more information on which countries own the U.S.)
But it doesn't mean that Canada is owned by the U.S. Yes, countries are corporations. This has been known for a long, long time. What's wrong with that? It makes money flow easier to manage by building an effective structured network through which money can flow more easily.
The main problem here appears to be nothing more than a matter of plagiarism. Fear propagates throughout our rapidly changing society these days, what with false flag operations and corrupt media networks. So, obviously, if you throw out a worm like 0000230098, you're going to catch some fish, and those fish'll share the worm with other fish, and so forth.
It gets blown out of proportion, and not one person has done any bit of research beyond relying on their buddy EDGAR to Tell Them Everything They Need To Know (much as people rely too much on Google's first few links of any Web search).
I haven't seen any site supporting the notion that the U.S. owns Canada which can offer any tangible proof of it. I'd love to, though. Any takers?
