Oct. 14 arrives! Humans ready for UFO insight?

The claim by Australian author, performer and alleged psychic Blossom Goodchild that a large UFO will make itself visible to the public and TV cameras today and for 72 hours has many people wondering.

Some people wonder if this might really take place.

Some people apparently wonder how others can be so gullible and stupid to believe such a story.

Some might wonder if this is going to damage the reputation of legitimate research into the topic of extraterrestrial and/or extra-dimensional visitation to Earth.

We might also ask how this prediction by Goodchild might affect the overall "acclimation" or preparedness of people about the possibility of ET visitation to Earth, whether anything unusual happens today or not.

After all, even if nothing happens in the next 72 hours along these lines, it certainly seems possible that some day there might be more open and overt developments regarding the UFO situation.

FRIEND OR FOE?

Goodchild's alleged telepathic messages from the "Federation of Light" include the information that they come in love, peace and light to help the human race move forward and upward, she says.

That seems all well and good.

However, there are also theories in the field of research on UFOs that might cause us to moderate our enthusiasm.

Some researchers have indicated that there may be more than one type of being and culture visiting Earth. There could be several species and civilizations.

According to some views, there may be very different motives on the part of different visitors. Some may have goodwill toward humanity. Others might not.

Some visitors might be our friends and could help the human race take the next step in positive development. Others might have hostile or destructive motives toward humanity.

Some might be neutral and are simply observing. They may not have an interest in getting involved with Earth and the human race one way or the other.

Like the alliances, differing agendas, diplomacy, espionage and intelligence-gathering among nations on Earth, there could be the same kinds of factors involved in the case of extraterrestrial cultures and civilizations.

The situation may be complex.

This complexity could be one explanation for the alleged government security surrounding the extraterrestrial visitation topic. If we are in the middle of a sophisticated milieu of interplanetary and inter-dimensional alliances and espionage, similar to our own conventional international scenario, then things may not be as simple as some would like to believe.



And the term "visitors" might not be totally accurate. Some researchers theorize that the involvement of extraterrestrial and/or extra-dimensional beings has gone far beyond "visiting." There may be many types of significant activities underway by them, possibly over a long period of time.

PERCEPTION AND UNDERSTANDING

The prediction by Goodchild does seem to focus our attention on several interesting elements.

As noted, it brings to mind the possibility that one day we might see an extraterrestrial space craft on the TV news. This would certainly change our viewpoints and our orientation in important ways.

The message Goodchild says she received also notes that humans and Earth are under a burden of dark forces of some kind. It doesn't take much imagination to agree that the human race and Earth do seem to face challenges that are consistent with this idea.

Some observers have also pointed out that Goodchild's prediction reflects our need to be rescued from outside forces. Maybe this is because we have given up on our own ability to make the world a better place and transcend the serious problems on Earth. There may be good reason to believe that humanity is unable to lift itself up without help from outside.

Goodchild's message seems to imply that there truly is a larger force for good in the Universe and that this force is organized and intelligent. That is consistent with the spiritual beliefs of many people. And, it is comforting. It might also be true.

Her message also makes mention of our "souls." That is, part of our being and consciousness is deeply rooted in a spiritual reality.

As to the idea that people can receive messages via telepathy, ESP or other kinds of "anomalous cognition," a solid body of research indicates that these phenomena are possible or even probable. ESP may be a natural "sixth sense" that humans, and probably many animals, have as part of our natural abilities of perception and understanding.

So, during this 72-hour period when Goodchild claims that a large UFO will make itself apparent to humanity, we can ponder the possibilities, look closely at the human race and search our hearts and minds for any insight about what the future might bring.
