Google Instant for Mobile
Posted by Sam Churchill on November 5th, 2010In September Google announced Google Instant which makes search faster by displaying predictions of search results as you type. Today they announced a beta mobile version, available to most iPhone and Android devices in the U.S.
To try it out, go to google.com in your phone’s browser and tap the Google Instant “Turn on” link beneath the search box (if you don’t see the “Turn on” link, try waiting a moment and then refresh the page). You should see Instant beta if you have Android 2.2 (“Froyo”) or iPhones and iPods running iOS 4 in English in the U.S., notes Search Engine Watch.
Google Instant saves time because each keystroke helps to find the information you need. Google guesses the letters and the word combinations that a user is most likely to type.
Android Tablets are also beginning to fall from the sky.
